Toyota Corolla Trims and Packages
The Toyota Corolla is one of the most popular cars sold by Toyota since it was first fold in 1966. It has since been sold in both 2 and 4 door versions and included more and more luxury features as it continues to be developed.
2011 Toyota Corolla
For the 2011 model year the Corolla comes in three trims:
- Standard with a $15,900 msrp and 28/35 mpg rating
- The Corolla LE with a $17,600 msrp and 26/34 mpg rating
- The Corolla S with a $17,770 msrp and a 28/35 mpg rating
The Corolla and Corolla S both com with a 1.8L 4-Cyl engine and either a 5 speed manual transmission or a 4 speed automatic transmission. The Corolla LE only comes with the 4-speed auto transmission.
Past Corolla Trims
For this comparison we will be starting with the 1995 Corolla model year outlining the base models available each year. This comparison is to help you get an idea of what trims were made available on a year by year basis.
In 1995 the corolla came in 4 trim packages each with a 1.6 liter or 1.8 liter 4-Cyl engine a 4 door sedan the DX 4 door sedan, the 4 door DX wagon and the 4 door LE sedan.
In 1996 the 4 door LE sedan was not offered.
In 1997 The 4 door DX wagon was not offered and a 4 door CE Sedan was offered.
In 1998, 1999 and 2000 there were three 4 door Corolla sedans offered the VE, CE and LE. Toyota also stopped offering the 1.6 liter engine.
In 2001 Toyota removed the Corolla VE and replaced it with the Corolla S 4 door sedan. This continued for the 2002 model year.
For 2003 Toyota expanded the Corolla LE to come with two package options a sport package and a TRD package. These two package options were removed on the following year 2004.
2005 was the start of the Corolla XR5 4 door sedan. This trim continued to be offered in 2006 was removed for the 2007 model year and the Corolla continued to be offered in only the Corolla CE, Corolla S and Corolla LE trims for 2008.
For 2009 The Corolla CE was dropped and two more 4 door sedans were offered the corolla XLE and the Corolla XRS.
